Logistics areas

Construction of logistics areas

Higher loads from heavy traffic induce more pressure on logistics areas. The container areas in port facilities, in particular, are subject to high loads due to the constant increase in the volume of goods handled in the container terminals. Also, the distress imposed by special loads (van carriers, reach stackers, AGVs, etc.) must be taken into account for these port, traffic and storage areas. The structure has to be optimised for such loads and designed for high stability. Road designs with layers without binding agents, bound layers such as asphalt and concrete pavements as well as semi-rigid surface courses or block pavements have to be carefully matched to each other.

Sustainable logistics areas need a planning phase and quality workmanship to be successful. Our engineering office provides consulting services to you and dimensions your asphalt surfacing with the PaDesTo software. We also draw up laying concepts and carry out the construction supervision for you. We analyse your complete logistics area with all the associated aspects such as joints and drainage facilities, thus contributing significantly to your quality assurance.

As AwSV-qualified experts, we are also very familiar with the requirements for sealing surfaces in accordance with the Water Resources Act (WHG). You can profit from this know-how when planning your new sealing surface or maintenance intervals for your existing sealing surface that meet WHG requirements*.
